Are there any "exceptions" to Qualified Immunity regarding a Police Officer who trumped up charges that cause?

If you can prove malevolence or willful negligence then you could have a case. I have decided not to pursue my case because it is more work than it is worth to fight the state over a few hundred dollars. What really pisses me off is that the charges stay on my record of arrest and prosecution regardless of the dismissal/dismissal/acquittal. Also I do not want to be hared by the secret "police brotherhood." I tried to stop hating cops, but they make it so effing hard.
