My mother always tries to quarrel with me and my Husband.?

My mother always tries to point out our mistakes and keep on commanding to do what ever she wants. Even when we return home after work, she orders us to do this and that. We live in a separate house adjacent to parent's house. i think she hates my husband. sometimes she uses very harsh words and shouts at me. My father always takes her side and advice us to adjust ourselves to suit her, but i can not ask my husband to do so, since she's doing the same thing over and over. we have a little kid (1.5 years). I'm really upset about this situation. We thought of moving to another house at the end. I have a sister and she's not willing to mediate.
